Art, community, and collective vision at Dr. Maya Angelou Community High School
In May 2019, the campus in Central Los Angeles was transformed into an open‑air art campus during the Maya Angelou Mural Festival, a week-long project produced by Branded Arts in partnership with LAUSD.
Over two dozen local and international artists came together to paint large-scale murals across the school, turning it into a daily source of inspiration for students and the wider community.
Amid this creative surge, The Launch Intention Foundation, founded by artist Griffin Loop, brought a sculptural experience focused on participation, reflection, and collective vision.
